A leading aviation company is seeking aHead of Quality, Safety, Training & Environmentto join theSenior Leadership Teamand play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying the company's strategy within the Quality, Safety, Training & Environment functions. You will foster a proactive compliance culture while ensuring robust systems and processes that meet global aviation regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyContribute to the development and deployment of company strategy, with primary leadership responsibility within the Quality department.Promote a culture of compliance, ownership, and continuous improvement across the organisation.Regulatory Compliance & CertificationMaintain compliance with all regulatory requirements related to quality, environment, health & safety.Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, customers, and auditors.Align local processes with central quality requirements.Oversee company approvals, certifications, licences, and technical documentation.Quality Systems & ProcessesDevelop, implement, and maintain the Quality & Safety Management System.Lead internal and external audit programmes and manage corrective actions.Monitor KPIs, analyse trends, and report to senior management.Inspection, Testing & ReleaseEnsure robust inspection/testing processes for all engine parts repairs.Manage issuance and maintenance of personnel authorisations.Oversee quality assurance reviews for internal and OEM repair documentation.Ensure compliance for new or phased-out processes and equipment.Continuous ImprovementPromote a culture of compliance excellence and safety.Implement root-cause analysis, CAPA processes, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and digital improvement solutions.People Management & DevelopmentLead and develop the Quality team, ensuring competencies and training remain at the highest standards.Customer & Stakeholder EngagementServe as the primary contact for customer and regulatory quality teams.Manage complaints, non-conformances, and warranty claim resolutions.Additional DutiesManage departmental budgets effectively.Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Director & CEO, including deputizing when required.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Quality Management, or a related field.Minimum 10 years' aviation industry experience, ideally in MRO quality & EHS roles.Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks (Part 145, CFR 145, etc.).Solid knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS).Proven experience with audits, regulatory inspections, and maintaining approvals.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Why Join Us?You will have the opportunity to influence organisational strategy, lead a high-performing team, and help shape the future of safety and quality within a globally respected aviation business.
