Founded in West Hollywood in ****, it's the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high-intensity, one-hour workout that's as effective as it is fun.
Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights and running on a treadmill.
Each day focuses on a different muscle group in order to achieve real results and to prevent injuries.
Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximise fat loss, while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class.
Position Details
Front Desk Hybrid Team Member – Operations Department – Dublin – Reports to General Manager
Overview
Front Desk Hybrid team members are the first line of contact at all Barry's studios.
They are well-versed in all aspects of our fitness program and business.
They provide superior customer service, assist clients with class selections, bookings, Fuel Bar orders and questions, maintain a clean studio including the Red Room and reception area, and process merchandise purchases.

Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
Ensure the Barry's vision is brought to life on a daily basis through embodying our values
Ensure every client receives a best-in-class welcome to the studio, including a personalised greeting and a goodbye when leaving
Induct first timers thoroughly, introduce them to Barry's, guide them around the studio, demonstrate the lockers and introduce them to the fuel bar
Deliver exceptional service during class sign-in, work quickly and efficiently while upholding our service standards
Have a full understanding of our POS system to process payments, update records and make or amend bookings including private classes
Proactively handle complex client inquiries and deliver custom solutions, seeking help from studio management when necessary
Use downtime on desk to identify opportunities for client outreach and community building
Use the booking system to recognize client milestones such as birthdays and class achievements
Work with the instructor team to ensure classes start and finish on time, and support with any technical difficulties such as sound or microphone malfunctions
Understand and proactively execute marketing initiatives
Communicate studio offerings, promotions and special events, supporting bookings or sign-ups when necessary
Assist studio management with daily studio tasks and other projects as necessary
Fuel Bar Responsibilities
Deliver quality protein shakes and excellent customer service in the Fuel Bar
Handle pre-orders and post orders with a can-do attitude
Assist clients with questions and product selection
Complete client orders in a timely manner using a POS transaction
Maintain fuel bar department areas clean and sanitised and ensure relevant areas are restocked
Follow departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation according to health code regulations
Rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and department tables, paying special attention to spoilage according to company policy
Facility Maintenance
Prepare studio spaces before, after, and in-between classes by cleaning exercise equipment, sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming floors, and wiping mirrors
Conduct regular deep cleaning, organisation, restocking and maintenance of common areas including the reception space, Fuel Bar, retail shelves, locker rooms, hallways and storage areas
Conduct small studio repairs when appropriate
Provide laundry services, including collecting, washing and folding towels
Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists
Maintain health and safety standards by inspecting and cleaning shower areas such as floors, tiles and cubicle doors between classes
Use chemicals safely and effectively as trained, using the correct chemicals for each job as per the cleaning schedule
Report any equipment faults, failures or maintenance issues to the Maintenance Technician or Studio Manager
Maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with company and legal requirements
Requirements
Ability to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays
Required to work 15 hours, any 3 days from 7 AM, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday
Variable days of work, determined by manager based on business needs
Ability to communicate effectively and in a time-sensitive manner
Strong customer service skills with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritise and work within a fast-paced environment
Friendly, outgoing personality, professional in appearance and behaviour at all times
Exceptional cleaning skills and a clear understanding of what constitutes a sanitary environment
Attention to detail and care for the studio's appearance and cleanliness
Physical ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb and stand for long durations
Ability to move and lift equipment and supplies of 30+ pounds
Ability to routinely sit, stand, bend, reach, lift, push, pull 30 KG, and type, speak, read and write
Ability to perform work on/using a telephone/computer
Ability to read, speak, write effectively in English with coworkers, clients and vendors
Team-oriented, working cohesively with all Barry's staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour
Enthusiasm for the job and the Barry's brand

The hourly rate for this position is €14 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
