Job Overview
As a Domain Consultant for cloud native security, you will define technical solutions that secure customers' key business imperatives and evangelize our industry‑leading cloud security solutions, positioning Palo Alto Networks as the customer's cybersecurity partner of choice.
Your Impact
Collaborate with account teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within your assigned specialization area
Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy
Act as the main technical point of contact for Cloud Security, assisting and collaborating on RFIs/RFPs
Lead and support customer demonstrations that showcase our unique value proposition
Scope and lead Proof of Value projects for prospective customers and partners based on best practices to ensure technical win
Drive high technical validation and Po V win rates within your assigned specialization area
Discuss and highlight product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
Architect solutions that strengthen and simplify customers' security posture
Accelerate technical validation of proposed solutions within your specialization
Document High‑Level Design and Key Use Cases to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks Solutions
Help customers build and develop services around Cortex Cloud
Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape
Discuss competitive offers and position ours as the best alternative
Position Palo Alto Networks or partner‑delivered services to ensure proper implementation and value realization
Initiate projects to improve individual team performance
Implement organizational policies and help others adopt them
Act as a conduit for customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features
Qualifications
6+ years of technical sales or equivalent experience (highly preferred)
Hands‑on experience using Ia C software tools (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.) and CI/CD tools (IDEs, Git Lab, Git Hub, Jenkins, Circle CI, etc.)
Experience with Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud configuration and administration of security features and services (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption)
Deep experience in at least one cloud security area such as Shift Left, CSPM, CWP, KSPM, CIEM, DSPM, AI‑SPM
Background in security domain or cloud security preferred
Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift
Travel may be required to support in‑person customer meetings
