POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of Jigsaw Online Clinical Manager is suited to experienced clinical/counselling/educational psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, occupational therapists and psychotherapists. The Clinical Manager is the mental health lead for the Jigsaw Online Service, providing oversight of the coordination and delivery of clinical services across Jigsaw’s digital-based offerings. As Jigsaw Online service’s most experienced and senior mental health clinician, the Clinical Manager holds a significant and dynamic role within their team, ranging from the development and implementation of evidence based and innovative clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high quality and effective mental health and wellbeing services, to supporting the ongoing professional development and learning of their transdisciplinary teams through clinical supervision and reflective team spaces. The Clinical Manger works closely with the Service Manager in the overall leadership and management of the service and team.

Please note: This is a full time, permanent position, based in Jigsaw National Office, Dublin 2.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working in collaboration with the Service Manager, the Clinical Manager provides clinical and mental health leadership across the Jigsaw Online service, including:

* Implementing and reviewing policies, procedures and practices related to delivering a safe, high quality and effective digital clinical service.
* Contributing to and participating in the evaluation of Jigsaw’s digital supports and services.
* Providing clinical supervision to the transdisciplinary team of clinicians/senior clinicians.
* Supporting the professional development of the Jigsaw team, including contributing to the performance management and reviews of Jigsaw staff members.
* Supporting and directing the team as required to ensure that a high quality, effective service is provided to young people where they are supported to be active collaborators and decision makers in their care and ensuring tailored care is provided, utilising a Single Session Therapy approach to service delivery, in line with the individual young person’s goals.
* Contributing to ongoing evaluation and improvement in performance including achievement of agreed Key Performance Indicators and targets.
* Supervising live practice as young people receive support from Jigsaw through Live chat, Group Chat and email on our bespoke online system.
* Supporting the delivery of video based brief therapeutic interventions.
* The post holder will be expected to contribute to the clinical activity of the service. This may involve holding a small clinical caseload.
* Identifying and monitoring risk in relation to the clinical service and ensuring that positive risk management strategies are implemented and reviewed as needed and that a positive risk culture is fostered on the team that is risk positive and responsive, not reactive.
* Overseeing the input and management of data related to therapeutic supports on the digital case management system including regular audits of case notes.
* Preparing reports to meet the requirements of Jigsaw internal governance structures.
* Contributing to the development of high quality content for jigsaw.ie which reflects Jigsaw’s mission, vision, values and conceptualisation of mental health.
* Ensuring that all service user engagement related activities are safe, on message and appropriate, from a mental health perspective.
* Fulfilling obligations as per The Children First Act 2015, acting as Designated Liaison Person for the Jigsaw service and overseeing the implementation of Jigsaw’s Child Protection and Welfare Policy.
* To act as Data Protection Lead for the service and ensure compliance with responsibilities under the Data Protection Acts 1988, 2003 & 2018 (GDPR).
* Contributing to the development of the Jigsaw model as a clinical lead within the Jigsaw network.
* Participating in ongoing professional development including clinical supervision, line management, Jigsaw’s learning spaces, where relevant, and other appropriate training opportunities as required.
* To be flexible and willing to work evenings and occasional weekends, as required.
* Undertaking any other duties as determined by Jigsaw.

Essential Criteria:Qualifications & Registration - It is essential that you meet one of the below:

* Doctorate or equivalent in clinical/counselling/educational psychology. Qualifications obtained overseas must be validated by the Department of Health at the time of application.
* Mental Health Nurse registered with NMBI
* Social Worker registered with CORU.
* Occupational Therapist registered with CORU.
* Psychotherapist accredited by the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP)

Essential Criteria: Experience

* A minimum of five years’ full time or equivalent post qualification experience working in a mental health service / setting.
* Experience of core clinical mental health skills; assessment (including risk assessment), formulation, evidence informed therapeutic intervention and evaluation.

Desirable Criteria:

* Experience of providing mental health support via digital technologies.
* Experience of staff supervision and of providing clinical supervision and case load management to staff.
* Passion for working with young people within the Jigsaw Model.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the aetiology of mental health difficulties.
* Demonstrate knowledge and experience of applying evidence informed practice with young people in a clinical setting.
* Demonstrate capacity, commitment and innovation to work within digital based brief youth mental health intervention model.
* Demonstrate capacity to work remotely and to support a team in working remotely whilst developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
* Demonstrate capacity and commitment to reflective practice in order to facilitate personal and team learning, professional development and service improvement.
* Knowledge of community based models of mental health service delivery, including preventative programmes, mental health literacy and promotion.
* The capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrate experience of working with a broad cross section of staff and professionals, across agencies.
* The capability to apply knowledge of change management and to lead the team in an ever-changing and innovative space
* Familiarity with Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017)
* Knowledge of the health system and ability to build working relationships across the range of key partners.
* Ability to organise a complex and varied workload and to work to tight deadlines.
* You will have a proficient level of computer literacy and are competent in MS office, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SharePoint.
* Full, clean driving licence and access to a car.

* Ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, carers, family members and other professionals.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Factors taken into account in determining an appropriate scale include the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the job.

The salary range for this role will be €62,000 - €88,400.
