Job Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Electrical Work: Install, renew or replace electrical circuits, including pyro, FP200 and conduit systems.
* Maintenance Tasks: Fault find and repair motor control circuits and motor equipment.
* General Repairs: Fault find and repair single phase and three phase circuits in general.
* Fire Detection: Fault find Fire detection networks, hardware, software (including fire panel basic programming, sprinkler system electrical components).
* Equipment Repair: Fault find and repair electrical food service equipment.
* Renovations: Revamp all areas of the hotel.
* Network Maintenance: Fault find and repair telephone and data networks.
* Temporary Installations: Install basic temporary telephone and data networks for special guest requirements.
* BMS Maintenance: Fault find and repair building management system (BMS) networks and manipulate outstation software.
* AV Systems: Fault find and repair MATV systems and install satellite channels with appropriate equipment.
* Emergency Response: Participate in on-call programme and respond by phone and in person as required.
* Exhibit Support: Provide electrical set-ups for exhibits and conventions, maintaining electrical equipment.
* Guest Services: Adjust and clean televisions.
* Complaint Resolution: Respond to guest complaints regarding maintenance of their room or public area.
* Plumbing Assistance: Assist with plumbing stoppages in the building.
* Shop Support: Repair assorted items brought to the shop by other departments.
* Assembly Tasks: Assemble desks, shelving, cabinets, etc. as assigned.
* Guest Assistance: Assist guests with special requests, such as opening luggage.
* Work Logs: Maintain logs for all work performed while on duty.
* Utility Checks: Take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant.
* Mechanical Room Checks: Check mechanical rooms.
* Work Orders: Respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.
* Professional Conduct: Conduct oneself professionally at all times.
* Accident Reporting: Handle and report any accident immediately.
* Hazard Identification: Report potential hazards.
* Emergency Procedures: Respond properly in hotel emergency or safety situations.
* Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management and staff.
* Department Cleaning: Clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.
