Overview

As a Responsible Content Specialist, you play a critical role in safeguarding the digital ecosystem and maintaining the integrity of Microsoft’s online products and platforms by analyzing, moderating, or labeling sensitive digital content while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. You will utilize tools and data analysis to suggest improvements to moderation processes, lead quality assurance efforts, and support initiatives that enhance user experience and protect individual privacy. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and feedback related to guidelines, processes, and tooling.

Job location: Dublin, IE (on-site only, no hybrid option)

Qualifications


Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Media, Behavioral Psychology, Criminal Justice, Linguistics, Education, Business, Computer Science or related field AND 1+ year(s) relevant experience in work requiring privacy, discretion, and/or exposure to sensitive situations or content (e.g., digital safety, content review, content moderation tools, data annotation, paralegal, social work, law enforcement).
* Legally authorized to work in Ireland (citizenship or valid visa/work permit required).

OR

* High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 3+ years relevant experience in similar work or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficient in one or more additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Italian, German, Arabic).
* Bachelor's Degree in related fields AND 2+ years relevant experience, OR High School Diploma AND 4+ years relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

* Perform content moderation to identify and remove explicit and illegal content, including hate, sexual content, violence, self-harm, child exploitation, and extremism, across media types.
* Analyze data trends, participate in process improvements, and identify gaps in guidelines and policies.
* Work with managers to understand project requirements and create processes and work instructions.
* Identify opportunities for new projects and improvements, perform root-cause analysis, and work with teams to align on plans.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement programs and projects.
* Create collateral such as proposals and strategy documents to meet stakeholder needs.
* Track success metrics like quality, throughput, and SLAs, and use data to demonstrate impact.
* Follow ethics and privacy policies, ensuring data protection and security, and report incidents appropriately.
* Maintain high standards of data security and confidentiality.


Considerations

This role involves working with offensive and mature content to train AI models for Microsoft’s customer protection. Flexibility for after-hours, weekend, and on-call shifts is required.
