Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant – Immediate Start

We've partnered with a family-run construction company who are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis (3 day week) for a 6 month cover contract.
This role will offer plenty of variety and will see the successful candidate support payments for a number of trading companies.
Responsibilities
Review and approve creditors
Review, verify, code, and process invoices
Prepare and manage payments by EFT
Review reconciled supplier statements with the internal ledgers
Assist with the month-end closing process and ensure AP transactions are correctly recorded
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting databases
Ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
3+ years experience in a busy finance/accounts function
Previous experience working in construction and RCT is advantageous
Strong IT skills (proficiency in Excel and knowledge of accounting systems e.g. Evolution MX, Sage or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
