Job Title: Emergency Department/Rapid Cardiac Care Administrator
Job Summary:
The primary objective of the Emergency Department/Rapid Cardiac Care Administrator is to facilitate seamless patient registration, chart preparation, and liaison with Bed Manager for effective bed allocation. This role also involves organizing patient bookings, transcribing, filing, and organizing patient files for clinics.
* Meet and greet patients, including handling inquiries via telephone and in-person communication.
* Register patients presenting to ED and prepare charts.
* Liaise with Bed Manager regarding bed allocation as required.
* Organize patient bookings with consultants and/or their secretaries.
* Transcribe, file, and organize patient files for clinics.
* Assist with referrals and insurance verifications.
* Coordinate billing, processing, and monitoring of patient charges, and issue receipts.
* Interface with referring physicians and other agents.
* Maintain departmental stock, consumables, and supplies.
* Address ad-hoc patient requests.
* Manage daily transactions involving handling money.
* A minimum of one year's experience in a similar administrative role.
* A business or accounting background, preferably with relevant training.
* Excellent computer skills.
* Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* The ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
* A professional and flexible approach to work.
