A big Irish company is hiring a Manager in Security Architecture to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities and lead the design of secure technology solutions across the business. The company operates complex digital platforms and infrastructure environments, requiring a forward-thinking approach to resilience, compliance, and innovation.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Information Security leadership team, this role will entail the overarching security architecture strategy. The successful candidate will ensure that security controls and design principles are embedded across cloud, network, and application layers enabling business agility while safeguarding critical assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and evolve a comprehensive security architecture aligned to organisational and technology goals.
2. Partner with IT, engineering, and operations teams to integrate security into solution design and delivery.
3. Carry out technical assessments, architecture reviews, and risk analysis for new systems and initiatives.
4. Establish and maintain enterprise security standards, reference architectures, and design blueprints.
5. Provide architectural expertise during incident response and remediation planning.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic planning within the wider cybersecurity function.
Skills & Experience
7. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
8. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA (or equivalent experience).
9. Extensive experience designing secure architectures across enterprise-scale systems.
10. Strong understanding of recognised frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and TOGAF.
11. Proven ability to balance business objectives with risk management and security best practices.
12. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical teams.
