Manufacturing Engineer – Medical DevicesI'm currently partnered with a well-established manufacturing organisation operating in a highly regulated environment, and they're looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their onsite Longford, Ireland team. This role will focus on process development, continuous improvement, and supporting production to ensure high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing outcomes.This is a full-time, onsite position, with occasional travel to suppliers or customers.The Role:Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes to improve productivity and product qualityCreate and maintain standard work instructions and ensure manufacturability (DFM / DFMA)Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to support new and existing productsSupport and uphold the Quality Management System in line with ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and GMP requirementsAnalyse production costs, cycle times, and layouts to optimise workflow and reduce wasteEvaluate and improve quality control processes to meet regulatory and industry standardsAnalyse manufacturing data and prepare reports to support management decision-makingCoordinate maintenance and repair activities for production equipmentEnsure compliance with health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsKey Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similarExperience in a manufacturing or engineering role within a regulated environmentStrong understanding of manufacturing best practices and continuous improvementExperience with CAD / CAM, robotics and automation integrationKnowledge of FMEA, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation (IQ / OQ / PQ)Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionallyWhy Consider This Opportunity?Competitive compensation and benefitsLong-term career development and progression opportunitiesCollaborative and technically strong engineering teamExposure to global manufacturing standards with a strong focus on quality and sustainabilityIf this sounds of interest, feel free to apply directly or message me for a confidential discussion.
