Healthcare Assistant – Ferbane
Position: Healthcare Assistant (Personal Assistant), part‑time 20‑25 hours per week, located in Ferbane, Co. Offaly.
What We Offer
* Salary €15.39 – €17.12 per hour; premium rates: before 8 am and after 8 pm €19.23; Sunday €23.00; public holidays €30.80.
* 9.25% pay increase over next 2 years (2025–Oct 2026) as per WRC agreement.
* Paid inter‑client mileage, sick pay, maternity/paternity pay.
* Holiday pay 8 % of hours worked.

Overall Purpose of Job
* Enable members to achieve maximum independence in daily living through personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational support, travel, and companionship.
* Role is performed in members’ homes and communities.
Liaison
* Coordinate with other home carers as required.
* Maintain communication with the ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff.
Training and Qualifications, Required
* Minimum of 5 modules completed of the Major Award at QQI Level 5 (Community Health Services, Health Service Skills, Healthcare Support or related).
* Experience in a caring role (essential).
* Reliable, trustworthy, confidential.
* Excellent communication skills, spoken and written English.
* Full driving licence with access to own vehicle (essential).
* Willingness to drive service user’s vehicle (preferred).
