As we continue to strengthen our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments, we are now hiring an ESG Specialist — a key role that will help shape and deliver our sustainability strategy, enhance stakeholder engagement, and ensure we meet evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.

About the Role
The ESG Specialist will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of Laya Healthcare's ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the wider AXA sustainability framework.
You will work collaboratively across the business to embed ESG principles into decision-making, operations, and culture, while tracking performance and delivering meaningful reporting.
This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
What You'll Be Doing
ESG Strategy & Delivery
Drive the development and execution of the ESG strategy, embedding sustainability across all areas of the business.
Create and maintain a multi-year ESG action plan, defining key priorities across environmental, social, and governance pillars.
Align ESG initiatives with the broader AXA sustainability strategy and organisational objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Culture
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to communicate ESG progress internally and externally.
Foster a culture that supports sustainability, wellbeing, and inclusion across the organisation.
Lead communication campaigns, training sessions, and events to bring ESG initiatives to life.
Promote diversity, equity and inclusion as a core component of the ESG agenda.
Governance, Reporting & Compliance
Lead on CSRD reporting and associated action plans.
Monitor, evaluate, and report ESG and wellbeing performance against internal KPIs and external frameworks.
Ensure ESG practices meet regulatory requirements and support organisational accountability.
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Analyse ESG-related data to support reporting, insights, and decision-making.
Identify opportunities to enhance ESG performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging ESG developments.
Collaboration & Representation
Establish and coordinate ESG working groups to track progress and drive initiatives.
Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align ESG efforts with business strategy.
Represent Laya Healthcare at industry forums, conferences, and external ESG events.
Support the achievement and maintenance of ESG-related accreditations and awards.
About You
Essential
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a business, ESG, sustainability, or related role.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and supporting reporting requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
Desirable
Experience working within ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility functions.
Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (CSRD, GRI, TCFD).
Experience driving cultural or organisational change initiatives.
Interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and employee wellbeing programmes.
Regulatory Requirements
As part of the Financial Regulator's Minimum Competency Requirements, you may be required to attain a Certified Insurance Practitioner accreditation or equivalent.
If applicable, your line manager will confirm this and outline any associated CPD requirements.
