Resident Engineer - Civils
Location: Galway City
Salary: €60-€70k DOE
Duration: 12–18 months, commencing November 2025.

* Standard 40-hour week (8 hrs/day, Monday–Friday) with occasional weekend or night works if required.

Qualifications & Experience
* Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong experience in civil engineering, with proven track record in supervision and contract administration.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software (AutoCAD or similar).
* Knowledge and experience of Public Works contracts.
* Hands‑on experience in roadworks construction (pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting).
* Experience in active travel scheme design (desirable but not essential).
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong understanding of H&S regulations and best practice.
* Full driving licence and valid SafePass required.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervision of site works and quality inspections.
* Administration of Public Works Contracts for Civil Engineering projects.
* Stakeholder and client liaison, ensuring effective communication and reporting.Monitoring contractor progress and maintaining detailed records.
* Contract administration, including valuations and claims assessment.
* Supporting the Senior Resident Engineer and Clerk of Works/Inspector as part of a collaborative team.
