Job Title: Training Coordinator Location: Glasnevin, Co Dublin Contract Type: Two year contract, Full time, to cover a career break.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Flexibility is required to work outside of these hours on occasion to include evenings or weekends.
Reporting to: National Services Manager of The Wayfinding Centre and/or their designee Role Overview: The Wayfinding Centre is seeking an experienced Training Co-Ordinator who will play a crucial role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programmes that cater to both internal employees and external partners, such as transport operators and key professionals within the built environment sector.
The successful candidate will report to the National Services Manager of the Wayfinding Centre.
They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts and industry stakeholders to drive learning and development programmes, policies and procedures aligned with the Wayfinding Centres goals.
They will be committed to developing and delivering high quality, impactful training programmes that are engaging and drive increased awareness on key themes around transport accessibility, disability awareness that meets the needs of a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Planning Training Plan and deliver a holistic training programme that addresses the learning needs of internal staff as well as external partners within the transport and built environment sectors.
Collaborate with industry experts, and stakeholders to identify training gaps and align training programs with industry standards and regulations.
Programme Development and Delivery Design and oversee the development of training content, curriculum, and materials for external partners that is engaging, inclusive and aligned with the Wayfinding Centres objectives, ensuring that the voices of people with disabilities are included.
Create & deliver engaging and impactful training sessions, workshops, and courses that cater to different learning styles and levels of expertise.
Stakeholder Engagement Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, such as transport operators and key professionals in the built environment sector, to understand their training needs and collaborate on programme development.
Act as a liaison between the Wayfinding Centre and external stakeholders to ensure that training programmes are aligned with industry trends and requirements.
Training Co-Ordination and Logistics Coordinate training schedules, venues, and logistical arrangements for both internal and external training events, in turn creating a training calendar that outlines the schedule of training sessions and events.
Collaborate with training coordinators to ensure seamless execution of training sessions, including participant registrations, materials preparation, and technology setup Performance Evaluation and Improvement Develop methods to assess the effectiveness of training programmes for both internal and external audiences.
Collect feedback and performance metrics to continually enhance training content, delivery methods, and overall programme impact.
Training Co-Ordination and Logistics Serve as the logistics and coordination lead for the team Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Reporting and Analytics Generate comprehensive reports on training participation, completion rates, and outcomes for internal stakeholders and industry partners.
Utilise data-driven insights to guide decision-making and optimise training initiatives.
Above responsibilities reflect the current service requirements and may be subject to amendment to meet the changing needs of the service.
Applicants must have full authorisation to work full time in Republic of Ireland.
Weekend & evening work may be applicable.

Core Competencies and Experience Required: Extensive experience in training co-ordination, instructional design, or related roles, preferably with exposure to the transportation and built environment sectors.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate training programs effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to engage with internal teams and external partners.
Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and modern training technologies.
A dynamic individual who can design, coordinate, implement, oversee and evaluate training initiatives to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance across diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using learning management systems and other training-related software.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align training initiatives with organisational and industry goals.
Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices within the transport and built environment sectors.
Essential: Postgraduate degree in Education, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Desirable: Work experience in either transport, accessibility, disability or similar.
Innovative approach to leadership, teaching and learning to support inclusivity.
Ability to build effective teams, networks or communities of practice and foster constructive cross team collaboration.
Strong disability awareness and / or working knowledge of the Irelands transport systems.
