Laois, with multiple manufacturing sites across the island of Ireland.Job Title: Group Payroll OfficerThe Role:We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Group Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be IPASS qualified (or equivalent), with at least 5 years' experience in high-volume payroll processing within a production or manufacturing environment. You will manage end-to-end payroll for 400 + employees across both the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland (NI), ensuring compliance with all statutory and company requirements.Tasks and Responsibilities:The role will report to the Group HR Manager for day-to-day operations with a functional reporting line to the Financial Controller. While primarily based in Mountrath, Co. Laois some flexibility will be required to support other subsidiaries as needed.Duties will include:End-to-end processing of payroll for 400 + employees across ROI and NIEnsure accurate calculation and timely payment of wages, salaries, taxes, and contributionsMaintain and update payroll records in accordance with legal and audit requirementsSubmit all statutory returns (PAYE, PRSI, USC, NIC, etc.) accurately and on timeCalculate and process Benefits-in-Kind (BIK) in line with current legislationAdminister company pension schemes, including processing contributions and liaising with providersAssist with monthly payroll reconciliations, and support the preparation of payroll-related financial reportsLiaise with the Finance team to prepare and post payroll journalsHandle employee queries in a professional and timely mannerLiaise with HR and Finance to ensure smooth integration of data and reportingPrepare payroll-related reports and analytics for management and finance teamsMaintain up-to-date payroll legislation and employment law across ROI and NISupport internal and external payroll auditsCommit to continuous learning through active participation in training and developmentSupport the HR and Finance teams with ad hoc duties and projects as requiredRequirements:Minimum 5 years' experience in high-volume payroll processing, preferably within a manufacturing or production environmentHold a recognised payroll qualification such as IPASS (or equivalent) desirableProven experience processing payroll in both ROI and NIExperience using Collsoft (Payroll) and Softworks (Time Management System)Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly excelStrong verbal and written communication skills; confident liaising with various teamsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationExperience supporting operations across multiple sitesProven ability to work with busy departments simultaneouslyHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical to success in this roleWe appreciate all applications; however, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Salary commensurate with experience.
