Electronic Health Record Stream Lead – Business

Overview of role:
Reporting to the EHR Director of Implementation and accountable to the EHR Steering Group, the EHR Stream Lead provides functional, integrated, business workflow leadership for the EHR deployment across UPMC Ireland. You will oversee workstreams, manage risks, and drive collaboration to ensure successful implementation of EHR modules, including revenue cycle, supply chain, and finance capabilities. You will serve as a key contact for stakeholders, providing updates and reports on program status and progress.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operational responsibility for delivering the EHR Business Stream within UPMC Ireland.
* Implement the program within scope and governance, establishing project teams and responsibilities.
* Collaborate with IT and Clinical Informatics teams.
* Manage project plans, milestones, risks, and issues.
* Lead deployment of MEDITECH Expanse modules across multiple sites.
* Design and optimize business processes, policies, and procedures.
* Coordinate change management, training, testing, and communication plans.
* Manage resource requirements and provide status reports to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Undergraduate degree with significant digital healthcare deployment experience.
* Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.).
* At least 2 years managing multiple projects and 5+ years as a project manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience leading HIS/CIS deployments, preferably MEDITECH.
* Background in healthcare delivery industry.
