Ayrton Group have an immediate requirement for a Senior Health and Safety Officer working across a number of sites with a construction contractor in the Dublin region.
This is an initial 6 month contract role with the potential for further extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementation and management of Safety Management System on-site.
* Management of all Health and Safety employees.
* Overseeing all subcontractors on-site.
* Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure Health and Safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
* Coordination of weekly Health and Safety meetings.
* Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
* Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
* Assisting in the initiation and organization of Health and Safety training of employees and executives.
* Inspecting premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
* Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
* Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.
* Weekly/monthly reporting to client and site management.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 5+ years' work experience in Health and Safety preferred.
* Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
* Experience in Construction is required.
* Experience with groundworks and demolition would be beneficial.
* Confidence to lead and manage a team.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
* Full clean driver's license.
