Learning & Development Lead
Reporting to the Head of HR & Training, this role leads and supports the effective functioning of all learning, people development and training activities across the site.
Main Responsibilities
* Act as the site learning and people development subject matter expert
* Work with department heads and managers to assess learning needs and identify opportunities for growth and development
* Design, develop and coordinate innovative learning and development programmes to support business activity site-wide
* Develop processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programmes
* Oversight of Excellence Through People accreditation and Employee Educational Assistance programme
* Support Apprenticeship Programmes and manage site compliance for mandatory training in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes
Leadership & Management
* Lead the L&D team and ensure effective management of all aspects of the L&D function
* Participate in the development & implementation of Human Resources policies & strategies
* Provide advice and coaching around learning and development
* Participate in internal and external compliance audits or regulatory inspections
Culture & Innovation
* Promote and sustain a culture of learning and development onsite
* Identify, develop and implement lean / innovative learning technologies and approaches
* Benchmark L&D best practices and maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Requirements
* Third level qualification in HR/L&D or related discipline
* 5+ years HR/L&D experience within a busy, team based, operational environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
* Strong leadership ability, management skills, performance and goal orientated with excellent communication skills
* Ability to prioritise, multitask, work to tight deadlines and delegate successfully
