Overview
Upland Brewing Company
is seeking a Packaging & Warehouse Team Member for the Production Brewery located at **** W. Profile Parkway, Bloomington, IN.
The primary function of this position is to safely operate a forklift to build customer orders and participate in packaging beer.
In addition to warehouse and packaging duties, this position will serve as a backup delivery driver, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to distributors, retail accounts, and company facilities.
This employee will work in consultation with management to define, set and achieve procedural goals.
Applicants must be able to lift 75+ lbs.
repeatedly throughout a working shift (5-8 hrs.).
Must also possess a valid State of Indiana driver\'s license and have a good driving record.
Specific Job Tasks include but are not limited to:
Adhere to safety and quality procedures.
Ensure First in First out (FIFO) inventory method for all bottles, cans, and kegs.
Build sales orders in a timely fashion.
Manage finished goods inventory physical counts.
Unload materials (cans, bottles, grain, filter media, hops, glassware, chemicals, etc.) from semi-trailers.
Assist with materials during canning production.
Complete monthly inventory of beer in the cooler.
Complete Forklift Maintenance Log.
General cleaning of assigned area
Floors, sweeping/mopping inside of cooler, main walkways
Trash removal by the dock doors
Serve as a
backup delivery driver to Indianapolis, Columbus, Jeffersonville, and Bloomington
as scheduled or when coverage is needed.
Safely operate company delivery vehicles in compliance with all DOT, state, and company policies.
Load, secure, transport, and unload beer products (kegs, cases, pallets) at delivery locations.
Verify delivery accuracy by reviewing invoices, delivery manifests, and customer signatures.
Maintain cleanliness and basic operational checks of delivery vehicles.
Communicate delivery issues, delays, or customer concerns to the Shipping Manager promptly.
Represent Upland Brewing Company professionally while interacting with customers and distributors.
Other tasks as assigned by Packaging and Shipping Manager
Other job tasks may include:
Participate in kegging in accordance with Kegging protocol.
Participate in canning line activities: including depalletization, case packing, case taping, skid stacking, stretch wrapping, and canning/keg line prep and clean up.
Assist in filling out canning line spreadsheets, kegging spreadsheets, packaging checklists and inventory tracking.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
Ability to work in a moderate noise level.
Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift).
Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles for extended periods, including driving to and from Indiana locations.
Ability to repeatedly load and unload kegs and cases during delivery routes.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Must be self-motivated, have excellent written skills, verbal communication and a strong initiative based work ethic and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
The ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organizational skills are very important.
Individuals with warehouse experience and / or forklift experience is preferred, but we will train to suit.
Valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record required.
Ability to qualify for company insurance coverage as a driver.
Prior delivery driving experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

This is a full-time hourly position with benefits available, including medical, dental and vision.
