Overview
AtkinsRéalis is a leading provider of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland. We are seeking an experienced Community Liaison Officer to join our Stakeholder Engagement Team to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects from inception through to construction.
The Community Liaison Officer serves as the primary point of contact between the project team and people impacted by the proposed development. The role focuses on fostering positive relationships within the community to build trust, ensure transparent communication, and support inclusive engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Engage with a range of project stakeholders including landowners, members of the public, community groups, businesses, and elected representatives.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for community queries, issues, and feedback.
* Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and feedback received.
* Engage with landowners to discuss the impact of project proposals on their land and agree proposed mitigation measures.
* Support conflict resolution and promote constructive dialogue between stakeholders.
* Support the development and delivery of project communications, including letters, brochures, leaflets, display material, web content, newsletters, and press releases.
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure community needs are considered and accurate information is conveyed.
Desirable Skills / Attributes
* Degree educated in a land or planning related discipline (e.g., Geography, Planning, or Estate / Property Management).
* Excellent communication skills, particularly in face-to-face meetings, as well as in written content.
* Experience working on infrastructure projects is advantageous.
* Flexibility in workload management with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
* Strong attention to detail in preparing and reviewing complex legal documents and plans.
* Confident, positive, approachable, and able to work well in a large team or independently.
* Motivated to contribute to the growth of the Stakeholder Engagement Team.
