My client is looking for an Information Security Tech Lead with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join their organisation based in Cork.
This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities Act as a deputy to the Information Security Manager when required, providing guidance and operational support to the security team.
Mentor and coach team members across technical security domains, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary escalation point for internal stakeholders to resolve complex security issues using a risk-based approach.
Drive the implementation of technical security best practices in partnership with IT and engineering teams.
Lead and deliver security initiatives aligned with organisational strategy, ensuring projects and business initiatives are executed effectively.
Enhance the organisation's security posture by assessing current controls, monitoring emerging threats and technologies, and implementing appropriate safeguards to protect information assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Skills & Experience Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
8+ years experience in information security with a strong technical background.
Proven experience across areas such as network and cloud security, incident response, threat and vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
Strong working knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO *****, NIST, CIS).
Relevant security certifications preferred (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, GIAC, ISO *****).
Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non technical stakeholders.
