Senior Education, Training and Intervention Specialist Our civil service client is seeking candidatesfor the role of Assistant Principal Officer (APO) (Education, Training and Intervention). The appointmentis considered essential, to progress the Agencys education, training and research agenda. About your new employer Our client is a newly established (2024) statutory agency under the remit of the Department of Justice dedicated to tackling and reducing domestic, sexual and gender-based violence (DSGBV). About the role Establishing an education, training and specialist intervention delivery function developing a work programme, in line with Zero Tolerance priorities and the Corporate plan Establishing metrics and performance measures to monitor progress Establishing an approach to training needs assessment in line with Zero Tolerance Mapping current training provision and developing a training and professional development plan to meet needs Developing training models and associated standards and approaches to accreditation and monitoring of standards Working with statutory partners including the Department of Education Building relationships and a strategic approach to engagement with the non-formal educational sector to ensure all children and young people benefit from state-defined learning outcomes Leading on the training agenda set out in Zero Tolerance: the Third National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Overseeing the Consent Ed project delivering training to teachers and non-formal educators in partnership with Galway Rape Crisis Centre Essential Role Requirements Experience of leading education, training and/or research functions with the capacity to quickly acquire an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Agencys role and objectives and of the context within which it operates First hand experience of an array of programme management, reporting and evaluation methodologies Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to develop education, training and/or research strategies/standards/accreditation models Experience and/or in-depth knowledge of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence Whats on Offer?
