This is a key leadership role within the company working directly with the directors and taking part in the running and growth of the company into the futureThe role will involve liaising with all internal departments, external contractors and our client's base. It will also involve reviews of current systems and input into new systems of work within the company. The position is primarily based in our client depot with some travel requiredAn attractive remuneration package is available to the successful candidateJob Description: Financial ControllerPreparation & presentation of management accounts.Reconciliations of intercompany and branch balances.Oversee payroll, suppliers and customer accounts reconciliations.Oversee bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliations.Supervision of accounts staff.Supervision of HR duties and maintaining HR recordsKnowledge of leasing & Hire purchase accounting methodsAn understanding of postponed accounting and customs.Preparation and posting of month end journalsCoordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.Monitor customer accounts regularly to track non-payments or delays and ensure appropriate follow-up.Assist accounting admin to complete accurately and on time Vat returns, Intrastat returns, RCT returns, Customs & Excise ReturnsManage, develop, and maintain financial systems to meet evolving organizational needs, ensuring efficient procedures.Ensure all tasks are conducted in a manner compliant with all policies, procedures, legislative and regulatory requirements.The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:· A qualified Accountant· Excellent Communication & presentation skills· Excellent attention to detail· Proficiency in Microsoft Office· Good inter-personal skills· Excellent time management· Ability to deal with challenges systematically· Good forward thinking and planning ability· Knowledge of payroll software· High Proficiency in English both written and oralJob Type: Full-timePay: €55,000.00-€75,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsCompany pensionOn-site parkingWork authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
