Theatre Healthcare Assistant Job Description
Our healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Theatre Healthcare Assistant to support the nursing team and consultants within our theatres. The role involves preparing theatres for surgery, assisting in the transfer of patients to and from theatre, and ensuring that the theatre environment is always clean and sterile.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure correct equipment is in place for each procedure.
* Prepare theatres for surgery by cleaning and sterilizing surfaces, equipment, and supplies.
* Assist in the transfer of patients to and from theatre, including transporting patients to recovery.
* Communicate patient queries to relevant clinical staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
* FETAC Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
* At least one year experience in a similar role.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
