On behalf of our client in public health, we are now recruiting Health Care Assistants to join a new residential and day care service for people with an intellectual disability.
These are long-term temporary contracts, with part-time and full time positions available.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications & Experience:
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or Social Care Worker qualification.
Experience and understanding of supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Training in Positive Behaviour Support and Safe Medication Management essential.
Experience working in residential care, special care units, or ASD units.
Understanding of the Health Act **** and the legislative framework governing residential services for people with disabilities.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Fluent in English with clear communication skills.
Able to follow instructions from management and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
Flexible and willing to assist with personal care, household duties, and other care-related tasks.
Accurate and timely documentation of care in line with care plans.
Commitment to attending staff meetings with the Person in Charge (PIC) as scheduled.
