Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), construction plant, and machinery according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs on-site and in the workshop.
* Conduct pre-use inspections and safety checks on all vehicles and plant.
* Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and defect reports.
* Coordinate with site managers and operators to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Order and manage spare parts and consumables.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, including occasional out-of-hours support.
