Design Coordinator Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design development from concept through to construction stages, chairing and managing design team meetings, and overseeing the design of facade systems.
Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate design development from concept through to construction stages
* Chair and manage design team meetings
* Oversee design of facade systems (curtain walling, cladding, glazing, brickwork etc.) from early-stage concepts to construction details
* Review and manage the flow of information through Autodesk software platforms
* C coordinate with M&E, structural, and architectural designers to resolve clashes or technical issues early
* Track and manage design submittals, RFIs, and approvals to align with the project programme
* Coordinate mock-ups, sample panels, and material selections with architects and client teams
Requirements
* Good people management and interpersonal skills
* High level of IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Autocad
* High level of written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in highly regulated environments
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
* High level of organisation skills
