Swim Ireland is the National Governing Body (NGB) for Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and associated Aquatic Disciplines on the island of Ireland. Role and Reporting Structure
In an exciting development, Swim Ireland is currently expanding pool operations to operate an additional leisure facility in Askeaton, County Limerick. We are now seeking experienced Gym Instructors to assist in the day-to-day operations of the gym, and leisure facilities. Reporting to the Gym Manager the person appointed will be a key point of contact on the ground in the gym, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gym, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all patrons. This role involves a combination of supporting patrons in achieving their fitness goals, ensure the safe and effective use of gym equipment, supporting the administrative function of the gym and create a welcoming environment for all clients.

Key Areas of Responsibility
* Greet, assist, and motivate gym members to ensure a positive fitness experience.
* Conduct gym inductions, fitness assessments and create personalised workout programmes.
* Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and monitor members' form to prevent injuries.
* Conduct gym classes and on-shift personal training sessions.
* Provide guidance on safe and effective use of gym equipment.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised training environment.
* Offer basic nutritional and lifestyle advice to support members' fitness goals.
* Monitor member progress and adjust training programmes as needed.
* Uphold gym policies and safety procedures at all times.
* Assist with gym events, promotions, membership retention activities and basic reception/front of house duties.
Education and Experience
* Relevant qualification and/or experience in a fitness instruction/personal training role.
* Previous experience as a gym instructor, fitness trainer, or related role
* Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, fitness principles, and nutrition basics.
* First Aid Qualification desired but not essential.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficiency in the Legend Point of Sale System or equivalent.

Essential Requirements
* Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.

Remuneration and Location
* The package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please note that this role includes evenings and weekends.
* Position Tenure: 1 year fixed-term full-time/part time contract.
* Position Location: Askeaton Swimming Pool, Askeaton, County Limerick.
