We are seeking a Head of People & Culture to join our team at James Whelan Butchers' Head Office in Clonmel. This important role plays a key part in supporting our growing business and shaping a people-focused culture that reflects our values and ambitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our People & Culture function, building on our strong foundations and driving innovative strategies to support, engage, and inspire our teams across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver a People & Culture strategy that supports the company's vision, values, and growth plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all people-related matters.
• Lead the delivery of talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, learning & development, and retention initiatives.
• Champion a strong, values-driven culture across all locations and teams.
• Oversee and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and compliance frameworks.
• Foster a culture of inclusion, well-being, and employee empowerment.
• Lead and develop the People & Culture team to deliver a high standard of service and support.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in a senior HR or People & Culture leadership role.
• Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on delivery.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organisation.
• Passionate about people, culture, and creating exceptional employee experiences.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
