**Job Overview:**
The Marine Institute seeks a highly skilled professional to lead oceanographic work at national and international levels. The successful candidate will support and develop new research and service-development projects, leading project implementation and identifying opportunities for growth.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of oceanographic data products and services within the context of our Data policy.
* Manage Research Vessel programmes, provide data from Celtic Explorer and Celtic Voyager, and deliver products and services.
* Develop and promote the utilization of National Weather Buoy and Tide Gauge Networks, deep water mooring, and related data management activities and services.
* Lead research programmes in oceanography and climate contributing to national and international collaborative initiatives.
