Financial Reporting Manager role at Millennium in Dublin, Ireland. The Financial Reporting Manager is primarily responsible for supervising the team with timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting to external parties; the funds’ and management companies’ consolidation and monthly close processes; the development and maintenance of accounting and reporting policies and procedures for both GAAP and regulatory reporting; and the identification and sourcing of solutions in data gaps needed for various accounting and reporting matters.
Responsibilities
 * Oversee the review and preparation of the financial statements and footnotes for the master fund, feeder funds, and the management companies.
 * Work with various teams across the finance group to drive the close process, including fund accounting, accounting services, financial reporting, compensation accounting, middle office, and corporate accounting in the US and abroad.
 * Review the month-end closing for several management company entities.
 * Review master fund quarterly analytics and annual financial statement variance analytics.
 * Coordinate the weekly consolidated expense estimates process including estimate to actual review.
 * Lead various internal reporting initiatives.
 * Coordinate the annual audit process, including responding to information requests from external auditors; identify opportunities to streamline audit processes and requests.
 * Assist with monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual regulatory filings.
 * Document and maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
 * Adopt a flexible approach to meet changing team needs and identify efficiencies and improvements in workflows.
 * Identify and source solutions for data gaps related to accounting and reporting matters.
 * Oversee ad hoc projects and analysis to support the Finance group.
Qualifications / Skills
 * Minimum 10+ years in a Financial Reporting or Accounting Oversight role (public accounting and/or private accounting backgrounds preferred).
 * ACA/ACCA preferred.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
 * Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data efficiently.
 * Proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
 * Strong technical proficiency with web applications and MS Office (especially Excel).
 * Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines in a demanding environment.
 * Strong interpersonal and client service skills.
 * Thoroughness and ownership of work; ability to be flexible and work as part of a team to meet deadlines.
 * Familiarity with accounting for different financial instruments, including derivatives, is a plus.
 * Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
