Medforce are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Grade Social Worker to join our client's Children’s Disability Service in Drogheda/Bettystown. This is a stand‑alone post within a supportive interdisciplinary team, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide social work support to children with disabilities and their families, including advocacy, care planning, and safeguarding.
* Work as part of a dynamic children’s disability service, collaborating with families and a range of professionals.
* Undertake assessments, interventions, and family support in line with best practice and national policy.
* Contribute to service development and maintain professional standards of practice.
Essential Requirements
* CORU Registration as a Social Worker.
* Relevant qualification in Social Work.
* Full, clean driving licence and access to your own car.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently while being part of a wider interdisciplinary service.
Desirable
* Experience working with children and families, particularly within disability services (placement experience will suffice).
* Knowledge of national policy and frameworks relating to children’s disability and family support.
