Job Description A Commercial Manager is required to support our client's commercial delivery of industrial automation and engineering projects.
The Commercial Manager will work closely with sales, engineering and project teams to ensure strong cost control, accurate tendering and effective contract management.
Role : *Support the preparation of competitive project tenders, estimates and quotations in collaboration with the Sales Team.
*Develop and maintain standardised pricing models and internal project costings.
*Prepare BOQs and RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors.
*Monitor project costs and progress, including preparation of customer payment applications.
*Manage project variations, engineering day works and minimise scope creep.
*Prepare and manage purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
*Assess subcontractor claims and support contract negotiations where required.
*Work with management, engineering and finance teams to ensure successful commercial delivery of projects.
*Contribute to improvements in estimating, cost control and commercial reporting processes.
Requirements: *Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial or cost management within an engineering, automation or related technical industry.
* Relevant 3rd level qualification *Experience preparing tenders, estimates and project costings.
*Proven ability to manage variations, claims and subcontractor agreements.
*Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
*Understanding of industrial automation, control systems, electrical systems or instrumentation is desirable.
