Sales Engineer
Ideally onsite in Sligo
Our client, a leading supplier of Pharma equipment, is seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with driving awareness and sales of equipment within the regulated industry to new and existing clients, while also assisting in marketing.
Our client is open to diverse candidates: those with a sales background and engineering experience, engineers moving into sales, or newly graduated professionals in Biopharma, Engineering, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities – Sales Focus

Organise and conduct presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing equipment solutions.
Identify and pursue new clients through market research, networking, and lead generation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure understanding of the full product portfolio and services offered.
Implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and targets, arranging site visits to existing and potential customers.
Utilise CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and maintain customer contact details.
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
Travel within Europe to engage with equipment suppliers and keep abreast of product development.
Attend FATs when required as the commercial representative.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities for the core range of equipment.
Create quotations, technical documentation, proposal documents, and presentations as required.
Hand over projects from the sales phase to the project phase.
Review project contracts and define project scope.
Contribute to all areas within the business.

Key Responsibilities – Marketing Focus

Create promotional materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content to support sales efforts.
Provide internal marketing support where required.
Update the company website with new content.
Maintain the repository of marketing materials.
Update and keep company presentations current.
Create LinkedIn content.
Manage tabletop events and other trade show activities.
Create and manage regular mail merges to the contact base.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Automation) or relevant experience.
Track record of success in sales, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients and stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, flexible company.
Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
