Control & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced
Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Commissioning Engineer
to join a major project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the successful delivery of a high-profile programme, from design through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all project works comply with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations, along with internal technical standards.
* Manage C&I work scopes, technical clarifications, documentation, and deliverables across all project phases.
* Liaise with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and site staff to ensure smooth project execution.
* Lead and coordinate design reviews, test protocols, FAT/SAT, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and commissioning activities (loop checks, function checks, protection tests, etc.).
* Supervise and oversee contractors/subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
* Support project planning, resourcing, and commercial aspects in collaboration with the wider project team.
* Represent the project at key meetings, manage correspondence, and provide timely progress and cost reporting.
* Develop and implement commissioning protocols and manage project close-out.
* Prepare close-out reports, collate documentation, and support other disciplines to ensure successful delivery.
Ideal Candidate
* Strong background in
Control & Instrumentation
engineering with commissioning experience.
* Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders.
* Knowledge of FAT/SAT, ITPs, and commissioning processes.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
