The National Screening Service (NSS) delivers four national population-based screening programmes – for cervical, breast, bowel screening, and for detecting sight-threatening retinopathy in people with diabetes.

About the role
The Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer supports the efficient daily administration of the unit, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient day-to-day administration.
* Meet deadlines and maintain service levels.
* Support preparation and issuance of documents, ensuring quality and accuracy.
* Maintain accurate archives and records.
* Ensure confidentiality of documentation and records.
* Utilize technology to enhance work quality.
* Keep line management informed of issues.
* Communicate with stakeholders and relay their views to management.
* Organize and attend meetings, take minutes, and circulate promptly.
