We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled BIM Technician and CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Galway. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting design, engineering, and construction projects by creating, managing, and maintaining accurate Building Information Models (BIM) and technical drawings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
BIM Technician:
* Develop, coordinate, and manage 3D BIM models in accordance with project specifications and standards.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure models are accurate and up-to-date.
* Assist in clash detection, model reviews, and coordination meetings.
* Generate construction documentation and reports from BIM models.
* Maintain BIM standards and protocols across projects.
CAD Technician:
* Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
* Ensure drawings adhere to project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
* Revise and update drawings based on design changes and project requirements.
* Support the design team in producing accurate documentation for construction and manufacturing.
* Maintain organized and version-controlled CAD files.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Relevant qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
* Strong understanding of building design, construction processes, and industry standards.
* Excellent technical drawing and modelling skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
