Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) is offering a hybrid role where the successful candidate will flex between Flight Instruction and ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Instruction based on company requirements.This is a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience across both practical and theoretical training, supporting student pilots in their journey from ground school to the cockpit. AFTA trains cadets for some of the world's largest airlines, including Ryanair, and operates a modern fleet of Cessna 172 and Diamond DA42 aircraft.We provide our Flight Instructors with a clear and consistent career path as there is room to grow and progress to IRI & CRI positions within AFTA.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Flight Instructor:Conduct flight, flight simulation, and ground instruction.Monitor student progress, conduct reviews, and provide constructive feedback.Ensure training is conducted in accordance with approved syllabi and safety regulations.Maintain accurate records and comply with all AFTA and regulatory policies.As a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor:Deliver ATPL & PPL theoretical instruction across a range of subjects.Teach and demonstrate the use of navigation instruments and calculations.Support course administration, student assessments, and exam processes.Develop and improve training materials and syllabi.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:EASA CPL/MEIR with a Flight Instructor rating (FI(A)).Completed EASA ATPL theory (or equivalent).ICAO English Level 5 or 6 minimum.Strong knowledge of ATPL subjects, aeronautical regulations, and aircraft systems.Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.A flexible approach with a student-focused mindset.Right to live and work in IrelandThis role is rostered over 7 days of the week and throughout holidays as the roster runs 364 days of the year and varies according to the season.Job Type: Full-timePay: From €30,000.00 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Cork Airport, CO.
