We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect with a strong background in Python programming on behalf of a client in the financial sector.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the technical design and architecture of complex Python-based applications and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
* Translate complex functional, technical, and business requirements into efficient and scalable software designs.
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
* Contribute to backend development, including database schema design, API development, and code architecture, ensuring reusable and optimized code.
* Conduct comprehensive code reviews, focusing on maintainability, readability, performance, documentation, and architectural conformance.
* Evaluate architectural decisions, propose alternative solutions, and make informed recommendations to meet business cases, performance, and security needs.
* Create high-level product specifications, design documents, and technical documentation (e.g., ER diagrams, time-sequence diagrams, pseudocode).
* Recommend and integrate appropriate tools and resources from on-premise, cloud-based (AWS, Azure), and hybrid environments.
* Champion DevSecOps principles and practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and functional documents.
* Mentor and guide development teams on best practices in software architecture and Python development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on technical architecture roles.
* Expertise in Python development, including advanced knowledge of backend architecture, database interaction, API design, and best coding practices.
* Proven proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems.
* Strong understanding and practical experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and modern DevSecOps practices.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
* Demonstrated ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation and design artifacts.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience leading development teams and performing thorough code reviews.
