The role: Senior Functional Consultant – D365 BC (Contractor)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid – flexible, client-led in-person presence when required)
Contract Type: Daily Rate Contract (Contractor)
About the Role:
Storm Technology is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) to join our D365 for Financial Operations practice. This is a contractor role with a flexible hybrid working model, supporting client projects across a range of sectors.
As part of our consulting team, you will work closely with clients to design and deliver tailored ERP solutions that solve real business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead client workshops, requirement gathering, and functional design sessions
* Analyse business processes and propose D365 BC solutions aligned with best practice
* Produce documentation, functional specs, and manage the task lifecycle
* Liaise with stakeholders at all levels and ensure clear communication throughout projects
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal quality standards
* Ensure deliverables are on track, on budget, and meet client expectations
* Support relationship management and act as an ambassador for Storm Technology
Requirements
* 5+ years' experience with D365 Business Central / NAV
* Strong functional consulting background with end-to-end delivery experience
* Skilled in preparing functional documentation and facilitating workshops
* Proficient in solution design and working with technical teams
* Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365 ecosystem
* Client-facing experience and strong communication skills
* Experience in software or business consulting environments
* Degree in Business, Accounting, MIS or related discipline
