Applications are invited for the position of a Night Clinical Nurse Manager 3. This role is on a permanent, part time basis working 20 hours per week. The appointed person will be assigned to manage the hospital on night duty and occasional days. The post holder will have key responsibility for the overall operational running of the hospital as appropriate out of hours. The Role: Responsibility will include direction and supervision of the nursing service to provide a high level of patient care. Provide innovative and effective leadership, support and advice to nursing and nursing support staff including the implementation and adherence to nursing policies Maintain good employee relations and promote good communication with all relevant staff. Plan and guide activities to provide optimum patient care, this includes efficient management of financial resources, rostering of staff and deployment of staff as required depending on service need. Ensure adherence to all standards and guidelines relating to professional nursing practice The Candidate: Be registered in the General Division of the Live Register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, (NMBI) A Diploma in Management or other relevant post registration management course is essential. Seven years experience post registration, three of which must have been at CNM II or equivalent level within the past five years. Proven clinical and managerial ability, leadership, communication and organizational skills. Proven Experience of managing change and innovation.
