Role Purpose

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities on specific construction projects. The scope of activities will vary and will be agreed upon with the Project Manager.

The Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer
">
You will coordinate technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning.
">
Responsibilities include:
">
">
1. Complete electrical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
">
2. Validate cable & containment sizing and make recommendations as appropriate.
">
3. Ensure that technical assessments are completed promptly and issues are resolved efficiently.
">
4. Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.
">
5. Assist with Value Engineering opportunities and proposals.
">
6. Manage submittals through approval processes, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and verify receipt upon delivery.
">
7. Attend and record supply chain meetings to monitor progress within the construction schedule.
">
8. Update and record progress on system trackers aligned with the construction schedule.
">
9. Manage and coordinate the CAD/BIM model in line with the M&E services coordination plan.
">
10. Review electrical installation designs with the CAD/BIM team for constructibility and space considerations.
">
11. Liaise with design teams and supply chain for operational success and handover.
">
12. Conduct electrical system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
">
13. Compile test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for approval.
">
14. Manage specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely completion.
">
15. Review tenders technically when required.
">
16. Mentor junior and graduate engineers.
">
17. Conduct client training as per the training plan.
">
18. Uphold quality standards in line with ISO 9001:2015 and the quality management system.
">
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
">

19. A minimum of 6+ years of industry experience.
">
20. A relevant third-level electrical engineering qualification (electrical trade background advantageous).
">
21. Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit/Navisworks advantageous.
">
22. Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement with diverse personalities.
">
23. Excellent communication, planning, organizational, teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
">
24. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong literacy and numeric skills.
