\Exceptions and Maintenance Management Specialist Job Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Exceptions and Maintenance Management Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the planning and delivery of site operations across various projects in Ireland.\
* Developing and implementing maintenance plans to maximise resource efficiency.
* Coordinating project supervisors to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
* Preparing construction stage health and safety plans from preliminary health and safety plans provided by clients.
* Conducting regular inspections/audits on temporary traffic management.
* Ensuring communication of site inductions, methods statements & safe systems of work (SSWP) for all visitors, employees, contractors and suppliers visiting.
* Liaising with operations managers / supervisors / managers and ensuring proper record keeping for all aspects of various projects, including quantities of materials used, plant & equipment utilised, labour on site, safety audits, toolbox talks, task briefings, SSWPs, variations to work requirements.
* Monitoring the quality of surface dressing works to ensure compliance.
* Coordinating testing and sampling of emulsions and aggregates.
* Ensuring that all raw materials are ordered from approved suppliers only and identifying potential suppliers.
* Appointing only approved contractors to perform subcontract operations.
* Planning, forecasting and scheduling of works.
* Managing the financial performance of contracts, proactive cost management, promptly submitting invoicing / valuations.
* Timely completion of monthly accounts including WIP and accruals.
* Maintaining control over all work in progress.
* Nurturing existing customer relationships and developing new customer relationships.
\Managerial Responsibilities:
* Directing, managing and leading contracting operations across the Republic of Ireland.
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety (H&S), environmental and quality standards, and prioritising the safety of all contracting teams, achieving a zero target for fatalities and LTIs.
* Meeting annual revenue and margin deliverables as agreed with the head of contracting.
* Growing market share in terms of revenue, tonnage and products.
* Developing internal and external capabilities to deliver road maintenance services across the island of Ireland.
* Measuring performance in the areas of productivity, quality, health & safety, costs, revenue and asset management.
* Developing and implementing programmes to improve production efficiency.
* Contributing tenders in a timely and efficient manner.
* Building/developing new market opportunities - introducing new products and methodologies to the region, adapting to changing customer needs.
* Ensuring environmental procedures, e.g.: recycling, waste minimisations are adhered to and improvements made where possible.
* Promoting a positive employee relations atmosphere within the organisation.
* Optimising the use of human resources by encouraging involvement, open communication and effective teamwork.
