5. Hours of work are as follows:
HCA required to cover 39 hrs per week in a residential intellectual disability house based in Co Louth
6. 3–6-month cover
7. Immediate start.
8. The Care Assistant must be able to cover both day and night duty & be available for full 39 hrs per week.
9. Shift patterns are over a fortnightly period Monday to Sunday
10. 12hrs shifts - (day duty) or (night duty).
11. Shift commencement: Week of 12th Jan, induction to the area will be provided.
12. Experience of working with people with intellectual disability is desirable.

Roles & responsibilities within the job description (list is not exhaustive):
· Support the adults with autism, behavioural support needs, communication needs, community integration, healthcare needs & person-centred planning.
· Work within a team of registered nurses, care assistants, and social care workers in a residential house within the HSE service
· Maintain standards of service delivery within the HIQA regulations, health & safety regulations, HSE policies & procedures.
· Report writing, care planning and documentation
· Driving at work to support residents' social integration. Full clean driving licence required if possible.
HCA required for 37 hours per week (agency line of work) in Donegal Community Inclusion Training Services (DCITS)
