Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Order Fulfilment
* Digital Picking: Use handheld barcode scanners to accurately locate and pick items from shelves, ensuring 100% order accuracy.
* Order Creation: Use scanning technology to log new stock and generate outgoing orders within our warehouse management system (Shopify).
* Packing & Shipping: Safely pack orders to minimize damage and prepare shipping labels using our courier software.
* Inventory Control: Use scanners to assist with rolling stock takes and inventory updates.
Office & Administration
* Order Processing: Inputting phone and email orders into the internal system.
* Customer Support: Answering basic customer queries regarding stock availability or delivery times.
* Documentation: Filing invoices, managing delivery notes, and updating the database.
Requirements & Preferences
* Experience: Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
* Adaptability: As a small company, we all contribute where needed. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy a diverse range of daily responsibilities.
* Technical Proficiency: Experience with handheld scanners or Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a major advantage.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to work quickly but accurately to ensure the right products reach the right customers.
* Tech Savvy: Comfortable using MS Office (Excel/Word) and quick to learn new order management software.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to stay on your feet for several hours and lift light-to-medium boxes.
