Project OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Process Automation Specialist to support our clients' Operations team in streamlining high-volume financial data processing. The primary objective is to transition a manual monthly workflow - involving data reconciliation for approximately 45 clients - into a highly efficient, automated system using Excel-based solutions (Macros/VBA).This role is ideal for a developer who can quickly audit a manual process, identify technical bottlenecks and deliver a solution that ensures data accuracy and reduces processing time.Key ResponsibilitiesAudit & Document: Review the end-to-end manual process to identify capacity points and bottlenecks.Development: Build and implement Excel macros and VBA scripts to automate the preparation of invoice-ready data.Technical Specification: Identify potential technical requirements beyond Excel and draft specifications for IT/departmental review.Testing & Validation: Rigorously test automation to ensure 100% accuracy in learner data and financial reporting.Handover: Create clear user documentation and provide a training session for the Operations team to ensure a smooth transition.A summarised map of the current process and identified improvements.Comprehensive technical documentation and user instructions.A roadmap of recommendations for future automation (e.g., Power BI or ERP integration).RequirementsExpert Excel/VBA: Proven experience developing complex macros, VBA scripts and advanced formulas for large datasets - please ensure these are included in your CV.Workflow Optimisation: A track record of transforming manual, repetitive data tasks into automated processes.Analytical Mindset: Ability to quickly parse existing datasets and understand business logic.Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate across IT and Finance departments.Tech Stack: Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is a significant advantage.ContactFor more information on this position or other Business Support roles, please contact Paula Smaga by hitting the apply button below to send your cv.
