We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a challenging role in the pharma/biopharma and Life Sciences sector.
Job Description
A successful Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor will have extensive experience in all aspects of quantity surveying, including pre- and post-contract duties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to produce accurate work to project deadlines.
The role will focus on managing M&E packages, interfacing with clients, vendors, client project management, and other disciplines to ensure the highest level of service is provided. Responsibilities include preparing capital cost estimates, advising on building economics, and producing lifecycle cost estimates.
* Pre-Contract Responsibilities:
o Preparing capital cost estimates
o Advising on building economics
o Producing lifecycle cost estimates
o Drafting contract packages, including advice on amendments to standard forms
o Preparing pricing documents for tender packages
* Tendering Phase:
o Providing advice on tendering procedures
o Drafting instructions to tenderers
o Developing tender evaluation criteria
o Drafting PQQ questionnaires
o Handling queries during the tender period
o Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions
o Negotiation with tenderers
* Post Contract Duties:
o Valuing progress on site for interim certificates
o Ascertainment of amounts due to contractors for price variation
o Valuing proposed instructions
o Drafting responses to contractors' correspondence
o Determination of amounts of claims
o Expediting contractors' insurances, bonds, and collateral warranties
o Valuating contractors' final accounts
Required Skills and Qualifications
For this role, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional with the following qualifications:
* Quantity Surveying Degree: Required
* Mechanical and/or Electrical QS Experience: Necessary
* Chartered (or close to Chartership): With SCSI
* Minimum of 8+ Year Experience: In a consultant environment carrying out pre- and post-contract duties
