Apprentice Motor Technician – Porsche Centre, Charlestown

Due to on‑going growth within the group, we are now recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Motor Technician to join our bright and modern Porsche Centre in Charlestown.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to pursue a career as a Vehicle Technician with a view to becoming a competent and fully trained Professional with an internationally recognised qualification.
The Apprentice Programme will ensure that you are trained to learn how to undertake the repairs and servicing of motor vehicles; detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repairs; and ensure that all work is completed safely, complying with manufacturers’ and industry guidelines.
The duration of the apprenticeship is a minimum of four years. The apprenticeship system is a modular standards‑based system comprising of seven alternating phases of training and development – four on‑the‑job and three off‑the‑job phases. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a FETAC/QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate of Craft. This qualification is recognised both nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Motor Technician you will:
Undertake repairs and servicing of motor vehicles under supervision.
Detect and diagnose faults and determine additional repairs.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturers’ and industry guidelines.
Work as part of a team to support the full-service repair operations.
Qualifications
Pass Your Leaving Certificate (or Equivalent, e.g. A Levels).
Keen interest in motor vehicles.
Enthusiastic, committed, and confident with an analytical and methodical way of thinking.
High regard for customer care and professionalism.
Willingness to commit to the apprenticeship and to qualify as a Motor Technician.
A full and clean Irish or EU driving licence and eligibility to work in the EU on a full time basis.
