TheProduction Operatorwill work as part of a team within production and operations areas, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with safety, regulatory, quality, and organizational requirements. The role involves preparing equipment, work areas, and materials, and verifying readiness for manufacturing operations across a range of processes and technologies.This role is for an initial6 month contractwith potential for extension.The successful candidate must be flexible to work shift patterns as required, including:Day shiftEvening shift: 16:00 – 00:00 (Friday finish at 23:00)Night shift: 00:00 – 08:00 (Friday finish at 07:00)Key Responsibilities:Prepare and operate moulding, assembly (manual and automated) and pad printing equipment.Troubleshoot manufacturing issues affecting efficiency, safety or quality.Complete quality checks and meet defined production targets.Supply materials to production safely and on time.Label, pack, and handle components and finished products accurately.Operate CMMs, advanced metrology, robotic, and computer-controlled systems.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement projects.Reset and adjust equipment to ensure consistent quality.Collaborate with team members to maximise effectiveness.Accurately document activities in line with GMP and manufacturing standards.Assist in cross-training and onboarding new team members.Participate in programmes improving quality, safety, environmental, and production systems.Execute manufacturing documentation, commissioning, and validation protocols.Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, GMP, and company policies.Work independently using initiative when needed.Perform manual assembly and visual inspection tasks as required.QualificationsEssential RequirementsLeaving Certificate or equivalent, or relevant manufacturing experienceBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is beneficialDesirable RequirementsThird-level qualificationExperienceMinimum of 1 year's experience working in a regulated manufacturing environmentSkills and CompetenciesTechnical & Cognitive SkillsAbility to perform moderate manual handling tasks, including movement of raw materials and finished products, while wearing appropriate PPEHigh level of attention to detail and mental concentration to ensure strict adherence to manufacturing proceduresProven technical aptitude to meet the operational and technical demands of the roleStrong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance at all timesSuccessful candidates must hold full work rights in at the time of application, as this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.For a confidential conversation about the role please apply for the role or contact Owen Clancy at By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purpose.
