Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Dublin. This is a permanent role in a friendly and dynamic company that offers excellent opportunities for career development, supported by a structured mentoring system.
As part of our close-knit team, you will work on a broad range of projects across multiple sectors, including Healthcare, Residential, Education, Commercial, and Industrial, Pharma and Data Centres. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering a variety of projects from concept to completion in conjunction with the wider team.
2. Designing mechanical services for a range of projects, ensuring adherence to all relevant guidelines, regulations, and standards.
3. Leading and mentoring a team of Junior Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
4. Engaging directly with clients, representing the company in client-facing roles.
5. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 8-10 years' of post-graduate experience in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services.
* A Level 8/9 degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services with a strong background in design engineering.
* Chartered Engineering status or working towards it is an advantage.
* Experience in designing mechanical services for Healthcare, Residential, Education, Commercial, and Industrial projects.
* Proficiency in Auto CAD/Revit MEP and Building Services Design Software (e.g., IES, Hevacomp).
* Strong knowledge of Energy-Efficient Design and renewable energy solutions.
* Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full current driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
